This site is dedicated to honor and preserve Austin’s memory by informing others about the dangers of opioid addiction. Our son Austin passed away from an accidental FENTANYL overdose on June 9, 2017.  We didn’t know anything about opioids, about how they affect our brain and about how powerfully addictive they are.  If we had known what we know today, we could have saved our son Austin.  We don’t want another family to go through this horrible pain, so we became involved with the Gaston Controlled Substances Coalition to inform others the realities of opioid addiction and remove the stigma associated with this addiction. We ask that you become informed, get involved, and become part of the solution.
